Jill was reared in the historic Pontchartrain Park subdivision of New Orleans, LA where she grew up singing and playing her flute in the church choir. She always had a passion for writing and an even greater penchant for the workings of the human mind. She received her bachelors degree in Sociology from Tulane University, and worked as a researcher for over twenty years, at Tulane, LSU, and Ochsner. With humility and God’s grace, she has taken what she’s learned over the years as a student of life and created a uniquely fun and exciting way to explore psycho-social, and emotional realities - through a mystery series.
Even though Jill’s been writing since she was a teen. She says that the hurt, losses, and devastation she experienced from Hurricane Katrina gave her the courage to start this project, 'The Morgan Jane Winters Murder Mysteries'.

When Jill's not enjoying her passion for writing, she can be found playing her flute, working out, or spending time with family and friends. Jill says that she's found volunteer work, and/or playing music for hospice patients, or her church, to be a blessing and a key element in being able to nurture the gifts God has given her. Hit her up on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or contact her through this site. She'd love to hear from you.
